The seahorse is a small species of vertebrate that is found in the tropical shallows and temperate waters around the world. The gecko is a small to medium species of lizard that is found in the more temperate and tropical regions of the world. Geckos are more commonly found around the Equator and in the Southern Hemisphere although a few species of gecko are found north of the Equator in warmer regions.There are thought to be over 2,000 different species of gecko found around the world and it is widely believed that there are more species of gecko that ate yet to be discovered. The Squirrel Monkey is a small species of New World Monkey that is natively found in the forests and tropical jungles of Central and South America. Measuring as little as 25cm from the top of the head to the base of their tail, these tiny primates are more than double that size when including their long tail. Flamingos (Phoenicopteriformes) are an ancient group of birds that includes just five species. Flamingos are filter-feeding birds with specialized bills that enable them to extract tiny plants and animals such as brine shrimp from the waters they forage in. The American Bobtail cat is a muscular cat with a medium length plush double coat, (also seen with a long coat) and small tufts on the tips of the ears. The tail is 4 to 6inches long with a graceful curve. They have a wild, almost lynx or bobcat look that defines the breed and is most desireable, but despite the wildcat appearance are extremely docile, tractable and good-natured. The dodo was a medium-large sized flightless bird that was discovered on the Island of Mauritius in the 1590s and was declared extinct less than a century later, in 1681.
